when my ribs are stretched and bare
but the sunshine finds me at my roots
the weeds pull to braid my hair
the wild moon sets across my shoulders
and makes a mask across my eyes
and all I have before me is the expanse of all my lives
I've laid here before
in the thick of all these leaves
but this time I'm not drowning
I'm settling in to sleep
I've whispered to the fledglings
to stay thirsty in their dreams
and pull ribbons of last years learnings
to sew into this one's seams
Succulent propagated and cast into solid sterling by yours truly.
Oxidized with a bright finish
